ARTNIGHT 2013: Carnival of Colors
ThinkArt! held it's 3rd annual ArtNight themed Carnival of Colors show on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at SpringHill Suites Convention Center. "We have an exciting event this year... Our mission to feature a highly undervalued local and student artists — including guest artist Marston Smith — and helping those who want to enter into the fine art world, has come to fruition." Announced Dinh Chau-Kieckhafer to a crowd of over 300 attendees and hotel guests. |
This year's theme: Carnival of Colors. The 'Carnival of Colors' was sparked by Pablo Ferreyra’s* fascination with color and was brought to fulfillment through our search for annual show theme. Pablo wanted to start with a show that was primarily about color. The show’s color-centric thesis explores color’s ability to inspire diverse artistic creations.
“Color's importance in the history of art cannot be understated. It's study and experimentation in just over the last two
centuries has given birth to distinct styles and even movements in art. Colors have significance in cultures and societies around the world, from politics to emotions.” Pablo said. *Pablo Ferreyra: ThinkArt! Visual Arts Ambassador/Board Member
