Book Cover Design Challenge I: Scholastic Reading Materials for College
JANUARY - FEBRUARY 2012
Hosted by Green Valley Library (Henderson)
Reception Event: Saturday, January 7, 2012
ThinkArt! in partnership with Green Valley Library (Henderson) have created a special Art Challenge - design and execute a book cover art. The book titles are drawn from a list of “what high school students must read before college” book list. Green Valley Library has graciously compiled the book list. The list consists of notable classics AND contemporary literary works. Each participating artist randomly selected a title from the list (draw from a hat, per se), then given an opportunity to execute their interpretation of the perfect cover art.
After lots of work putting together the Book Cover Design Challenge exhibit, we had a blast at the opening reception Saturday late afternoon. We had an excellent turnout. Thanks to everyone who came out!
A special "Thank You" is in order to Bethany Lafferty, Assistance Branch Manager - Green Valley Library for her unwavering of support and judging the show winners! And lest we forget, Elaine Maier for coordinating a fantastic event.
