Harry Potter Book Cover Re-Design Challenge

In March 2012, we were approached by a literary agent to challenge artists to re-design the book cover/jacket of the New York Times Bestseller list, Harry Potter series. The selected cover art entry (winner if you may) was to be featured on the cover of the anniversary limited edition reissue of Harry Potter.

The initial response we receive from the project was overwhelmingly positive with momentous enthusiasms. However, as the project unfolded, only a handful of artists fully committed and completed the Harry Potter Book Cover Challenge.

ThinkArt! felt that an important opportunity was lost and missed by the Las Vegas art community. One of our local artists could have been selected to design the anniversary cover of the reissued Harry Potter series, which would, in all likelihood, have advanced their career.

ThinkArt! is interested in determining why very few individuals (four) completed the challenge, when 30 artists initially signed up to participate.
